چکیده

This study sought to determine the effect of fermented medicinal herbs (FMH), i.e. cutchery (Kaempferia galanga), turmeric (Curcuma longa) and curcuma xanthorrhiza) in combination with molasses probiotic drink (Yakult), administered orally on hematological physiological profile of striped catfish (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus). A complete randomized design (CRD) experiment was used four levels treatments, namely P0 (control), P1 (FMH 100 mL/kg), P2 200 mL/kg) P3 300 feed. The fish were kept a farm cages at 75 fish/m3 fed experimental diets for 60 days. results revealed that FMH (P2) dietary administration improved profile catfish, i.e total erythrocytes 2.81 x 106 cells/mm3, hematocrit values 39.00%, hemoglobin 10.73 g/dL, leukocytes 11.41 104 blood glucose 97.33 mg/dL, serum protein 4.10 mg/dL compared controls 1.89 32.33 %, 9.67 67.33 3.10 respectively. Moreover, diet special growth rate, feed conversion ratio, efficiency survival rate catfish. improvement are considered be due content secondary metabolites FMH, curcuminoids, vitamin C, essential oils, tannins, flavonoids, which trigger immunostimulation. presence curcuminoids provide an antioxidant cell membranes reducing erythrocyte membrane damage oxidation. Similarly, flavonoids natural antioxidants, credited ability free radicals anti-free radicals.

Growth performance and some haematological parameters of ornamental striped catfish (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus) fed on dietary nucleotide

The effects of dietary nucleotide (NT) on growth performance and some haematological parameters of striped catfish (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus) were investigated. Different levels of the NT (0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1%) in the diet were used for 10 weeks starting on the fish weighted (1.52 ± 0.11 g). The results showed that NT supplementations did not improve final weight, weight gain, food conserv...

In this study, oil was extracted from the liver and visceral fat of Patin (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus) and refined. The yield of oil after refining was 49.98%. The major yield loss (34.20%) happened during the degumming procedure. Fatty acids found in the crude and refined oil were C12:0, C14:0, C14:1, C16:0, C16:1, C18:0, C18:1, C18:2, C18:3, C18:4, C20:0, C20:1, C20:4, C20:5, and C22:6. The ...
